Parents

-All required forms must be completed prior to your departing on Friday evening.

-A $200 nonrefundable due is payable prior to the beginning of the training on Friday evening.  This covers food, uniforms, and other items which are provided, and the children get to keep!

The purpose is for New Young Marines to complete the first weekend of 4, that will be dedicated to teaching them the skills to be Successful in the Young Marine Program. This is a requirement for all Young Marines.

The recruit training, while nothing approaching a real “Boot Camp” that our armed forces have, is still an immersion study for the boys and girls that are attending. The course can be challenging for younger children who have not previously been away from home overnight.

Children sometimes express a desire to quit, similar to those attending a new football camp or dance class. We urge that you encourage your child to strive, and excel! For years many youth have enjoyed the pride of accomplishment they have in completing Young Marine Recruit Training.

At the end of the first weekend you may notice a positive improvement in your child’s bearing and conduct.
