May 23-26, 2008

Activity

Time: 1000-1200 (10:00AM-12:00PM)

Activity: Nimitz Museum Volunteers

Location: Fredericksburg, TX

What to bring
  • Uniforms inspection ready with ribbons
CO Message28 hours community service. The Young Marines would be helping set up for the show, sell concessions, get ice, and oh-by-the-way get to see the show and tour the Museum for free. Great weekend event with a lot of Marine Corps history and traditions as well as getting to meet and talk to many veterans.

Lodging is already arranged at no cost unless there are female Young Marine volunteers. Then we'll need to get 1 hotel room and a female staff member to go. Lunch each day will be taken care of. 20 Bucks spending money would be a good idea. The museum operator will be me sending volunteer permission forms for those who want to go. Depending on takers, I may be looking for a driver or two. Ideally I'm thinking 3 Young Marines and 1 Driver.

I'll probably be coming out of pocket for this, but either way we're going, so some Young Marines can take advantage of the opportunity if they want. It'll be worth about 28 hours of community service.
